ICC WORLD CUP 2011:Dollars rain for india team

Finally we got it……now India is the champion of ICC World Cup 2011 …after long 28 years of waiting….dreams come true for the billion dollar country…


This time lot of actors and actresses from Bollywood, Tollywood, and Hollywood were present at the finals match at the Wankhede stadium to cheer up Indian team. 

In my previous post I had described about the initial offers from the government side and others…today I would like to share  some of the  facts and figures ….which will give you a clear understanding about the…million dollar game.

ICC honored India with Cash Cheque of 3 million US Dollars (30 lakh US Dollars) (Equivalent to Rs.14,00,00,000 Fourteen Crore) 

Our neighbor, the Runner up of ICC World Cup srilanka got 1.5 Million US Dollars.

The losers of Semi Finals was awarded with 0.75 Million US Dollars each.(Pakistan)

The losers of all Quarter Finals were awarded 0.37 Million US Dollars each.

Prize Money given to teams which reach 1 to 8 places was facilitated with a total of 7.48 Million US Dollar.
Total Prize Money paid by ICC in this entire event was 10 Million US Dollar.

It was all about the total now….yes India sponsored money….



All Players in Indian team will receive Hyundai Verna Cars as Gift which is sponsored by Hyundai Motor India Limited.

Hmmm…BCCI will give 1 crore each to players of Indian team.
What about Mr. Garry Kristen and staff…they will get Rs.50 lakhs each.
It’s a good time for the team selectors also….k.srikant and staff will get Rs.25 lakhs each.

Delhi State Govt. has announced Rs.2 Crore for MS Dhoni.
Delhi residents like Virender Sehwag, Gautham Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Ashish Nehra will get Rs. 1 Crore each.

 Mamata Banerjee(Indian Railway Minister) has said that all Indian team players will get Free First AC Passes for life time.

All Indian team members will get 4000 sq ft Residential sites in Bangalore as announced by the Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yadiyurappa.

Indian Coach Garry Kristen and Support Staff will also be given prizes by the Karnataka Government.

Gujarat State Government will give Ekalavya Sports Award of Rs.1 Lakh each to Munaf Patel and Yusuf Pathan.


One more news adding glamor touch to the story is the doctorate award.
The Jharkhand government Sunday said that it would confer an honorary doctorate degree on local boy and Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni – who is yet to complete his graduation but who led his team to a fantastic World Cup victory in Mumbai. CHEERS INDIA…
